Yes Announces Its 50th Anniversary Tour.

It’s hard to believe that it has been 50 years since the release of the Yes’ self-titled album Yes.

It’s true, and to pay homage to the event, the current lineup of Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman are about to embark on a huge 100 date world tour that the band is calling, Quintessential Yes: The 50th Anniversary Tour.

As well as the tour, the band has announced plans for a new live album, new music and a compilation album.

Rabin, Anderson and Wakeman

The band will kick off the tour in Europe, and then head stateside to begin the US leg on August 26th at the iconic Whiskey a Go Go in LA. The reasoning behind the Whisky gig, this is where Yes first played as a headliner in the States in 1971.

The band have released the details of 9 US shows but have indicated that there will be many more to come, this will include at least 20 more North American dates for early 2019. Add to that, South America, Central and Southern Europe, Japan and the Far East, you have a tour that would be a tough trek for musicians half their age.

The initial US dates are listed below, and for you Yes diehards, you can get full ticketing information, including VIP packages, at the bands website.
