Chicago-based alternative rockers Wilco are currently in the midst of their summer tour of North America where they will next make stops in New Jersey for XPoNential Music Festival, Rhode Island, Maine, and Colorado for Velorama Festival.
But the band has recently announced a 13 dates for this coming fall.
Beginning Friday, September 22, in Lincoln Nebraska, Jeff Tweedy and his band mates will perform at The Pinewood Bowl Amphitheater. The fall tour of the US will include performances in Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina where the last show will be held on Monday, October 9, at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.
Tickets for the fall tour will go on sale July 21 through TicketMaster and respective outlets, as well as on the band’s official website.
Wilco has also featured an option on their site where fans can request any one song of their choice to potentially be played live.
The band aside, Wilco front man Jeff Tweedy has recently released his first solo record titled Together At Last. It was released via dBpm Records this past June 23 and features collaborative works with American record producer Jim O’Rourke, Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche, former Wilco guitarist Jay Bennett, and Wilco multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone.
The record comes into the spotlight firmly as the singer-songwriter’s first for his upcoming retrospective series he’ll call Loft Acoustic Sessions.
The project will include solo material, as well as touch on past songs throughout Wilco’s ten-album discography, as well as integrate work from Tweedy’s musical side projects Loose Fur, and Golden Smog.
On Saturday, September 16, one week before Wilco’s fall tour kicks off, Tweedy is set to perform solo in Urbana, Illinois at Ellnora Guitar Festival.
