We really like NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series, if you haven’t heard it, you should check it out. If you needed a reason, well how about an acoustic set from Weezer?
The session was to celebrate the release of the band’s new Black Album.
Stripped down and acoustic, the band performed a tight short set that included the tracks: “Longtime Shine,” and “Living in L.A.,” a single taken from the Black Album. They also cranked out a tasty stripped-back version of Pinkerton’s “Across the Sea,” as well as “High as a Kite,” which was also taken from the Black Album. The band let the music do the talking and Cuomo ended the performance with: “We are Weezer, from the planet Earth. Have a nice life.” Thanks, you normal man!
Over the last few years, NPR has had some fantastic stripped down set on their Tiny Desk concert series, you can check some of them out by clicking here.
