They’re possibly the two biggest bands in rock n roll, so when the Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses teamed up the other night for a cover of GN’R’s Appetite For Destruction classic It’s So Easy, it was a big f@#king deal.
The event happened at Firenze Rocks Festival in Florence, Italy during the Foo Fighters set. Dave Grohl invited Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan onstage and the rest is history.
It wasn’t the first time these two heavyweights have come together, the first time was in November 2017, when Guns N’ Roses were joined by Dave Grohl for a version of GNR’s hit Paradise City in Tulsa, Oklahoma. According to according to Rose, Grohl “just happened to be in the neighborhood.”
Whilst on their massive ‘Not In This Lifetime tour,’ the band recently headlined the Download festival. The band played a huge three-and-a-half-hour set, and to the delight of many of the bands fans, they added in covers that included Velvet Revolver’s Slither, Glen Campbell’s Wichita Lineman as well as The Who’s The Seeker right alongside material from their four studio albums.
