Vinnie Vincent, the former KISS guitarist, will play his first gig in 30 years on December 7ththis year. It will be an intimate affair, an acoustic session at the Guest House at Graceland hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. Vincent will be telling stories, playing KISS songs as well as tracks from his old band the Vinnie Vincent Invasion.
As well as Vinnie, Robert Fleischman, who fronted the Vinnie Vincent Invasion from 1984 to ’86, will be joining Vinnie for selected songs. Fleischman also sang for Journey for a short while in the 70’s.
Fans of the guitarist haven’t seen much of him over the last 20 years, but recently he started making appearances at KISS fan gatherings and stfrted popping up at other events as well.
As well as the Memphis concert, you can catch Vinnie at the Chiller Theatre Toy, Model and Film Expo in Parsippany, New Jersey on October 26th till October 28th. Also keeping up with his KISS involvement, he will be attending the KISS Kruise VIII pre-party event, The Gathering 3, on October 29 and 30 in Miami.
With KISS, Vincent was a member from 1982 to 1984 and played a big part of the making and writing of to two of the band’s albums: 1982’s Creatures of the Night and 1983’s Lick It Up.
