Founding member and figurehead of the controversial hip hop collective ‘Odd Future’; Tyler, The Creator has leaked an unofficial remix of Zayn Malik’s ‘Pillow Talk’ online.
The former ‘One Direction’ singer had been approached by Tyler on twitter with a message reading: “Hi @zaynmalik, I have beautiful instrumentals and you have a voice lets figure this out my guy. Epic album cuts tho no radio singles”
Malik seemed initially interested in the collaboration replying: “@fucktyler sounds sick BRO let do some shit!” however the proposed track never came to fruition. Since then Tyler has leaked a video of himself dancing to what appears to be a remix of Malik’s song ‘Pillow Talk’, he later accused the singer of not turning up to record stating that Malik “flaked on studio sessions twice”.
The video was quickly removed from youtube but can still be found circulating on both twitter and soundcloud.
Zayn Malik has made headlines recently for cancelling a hugely hyped show at Wembley Stadium earlier in the month. He suggested that he has been suffering from anxiety disorder which he attributes to his hard partying lifestyle, telling Paper Magazine: “I’ve not been feeling too well recently because I’ve been partying too much and not looking after myself and eating enough food. I’m just trying to take care of myself.”
Meanwhile Tyler, The Creator has also released a new song referencing his ban from performing in the UK, targeting in particular UK Home Secretary Theresa May. The rapped was banned from entering the country for 3-5 years due to supposedly ‘posing a threat to public order’ because of his controversial lyrics and stage shows.
In the song Tyler raps: “Tell Theresa May to let me in / I been going in since 2010 / It gotta be the color of my skin / Cause there’s n****s there / That doing more damage than my pen, man / Said some old lines was offensive / I was young, I can’t apologise for that shi t/ They took my fiction literature for literal / I ain’t no motherfuckin’ criminal”
