We’re hoping this is the sign of lots of new music. Last night saw New York rockers The Strokes performing a brand new song “The Adults Are Talking” live for the very first time.
Performing in Los Angeles at a charity show at The Wiltern theater, The band’s frontman Julian Casablancas threw out a teaser to the audience that the band might well debut a new track. The crowd pushed and pushed for the band to play the new material, the band relented and kicked into the track.
The track was classic Strokes, guitar riff, with Casablancas vocal melody drifting around like the band’s later material.
This also was the first sign of new material since their 2016 ‘Future Present Past’ EP. The band’s last album was 2013’s “Comedown Machine.”
