They have been part of English indie royalty since the ‘80s and now they are back. The Stone Roses have re-formed and are about to hit the stage again. The Manchester indie rockers have lit up Twitter with the announcement that they have lined up three huge gigs for next year.
It will be three years since the band have played together but the “Fools Gold” rockers will join forces once again in their home town for two massive gigs at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in June, and then off Scotland to headline the T in the Park festival on Friday, July 8th, 2016.
Letting fans know by way of Twitter, the band posted a photo of the tour poster, and revealed that they would be joined by special guests for the two Etihad Stadium shows in Manchester on Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th of June.
The announcement comes after months of speculation caused by a series of posters featuring the band’s iconic lemon logo, mysteriously started to appear in Manchester stores. Each of the posters contained 16 lemons, and for fans, it was all they needed to start rumours that the band would make an announcement for next year. They were right!
Tickets for the Manchester concerts will go on sale on Friday 6 November at 9.30am
