For fans of blues music, this festival is a must. Of course, depending on your location it could be quite the hike, but the setting and the lineup is one you’ll never forget.
This summer will see the 23rd annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, taking place in the breathtaking mountain town of Telluride, Colorado, and will run from September 16th – 18th.
Festival organizers have just released the artist lineup for this year and it’s a fantastic mix of classic rock, blues and so much more.
Heavy hitters like the Eagles guitarist/singer Joe Walsh, Gary Clark Jr., The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, and Jason Isbell have been tapped to headline the September festival’s three-day event.
Anders Osborne, Shakey Graves, Vintage Trouble, North Mississippi Allstars, Shovels & Rope, and The California Honeydrops are among the other acts on the Telluride Blues & Brews ’16 lineup. Osborne and the North Mississippi Allstars will also perform a set under the name of N.M.O. to do a full set of southern rock and boogie at the event. The full lineup is detailed on the official poster below.
Festival Director Steve Gumble said: “Every year, we look to put together an eclectic line-up, one that stands out among the other festivals. I’m honored to be able to continue to bring incredible music to one of the most beautiful venues in the world.”
In case you get thirsty in those beautiful Colorado mountains, as well as the excellent choice of music on tap, you can also enjoy an impressive and diverse selection of brews, with more than 55 microbreweries boasting 170 styles of craft beer and cider.
