British musician James Blake has released a brand new music video this week for his song ‘My Willing Heart’. The video features a heavily pregnant Natalie Portman in a brilliantly choreographed underwater sequence.
James Blake first made a name for himself in 2010 when he released a trio of dubstep inspired Eps that gained notoriety in the UK underground music scene. Blake followed up with his debut self-titled album in 2011, scoring the young artist a surprise Top 10 hit in both the UK and US.
His sophomore record ‘Overgrown’ was released in 2013. The record was supported by the breakout singles ‘Retrograde’, ‘Overgrown’ and ‘Life Round Here’ and peaked at number one on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Following the success of his first two albums, Blake obtained a residency on BBC Radio 1 and began to focus on a career as a radio DJ. It was during this residency that the 28 year old announced that he would be releasing his third studio album, that would feature collaborations with both Frank Ocean and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon.

‘The Colour in Anything’ was released in May of last year. Initially a slow burner, the album helped Blake obtain a wider audience which included a few celebrity admirers. Blake has since featured on Beyonce’s huge 2016 record ‘Lemonade’.
‘My Willing Heart’ was originally released in 2016 however, the record has been reintroduced into the public eye thanks to a stunning new music video featuring actress Natalie Portman. The video was posted to YouTube earlier this week and has been directed by Anna Rose Holmer.
In other news, Natalie Portman is rumoured to be replacing Rooney Mara in a upcoming sequel to the 2011 film ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’. The new movie is titled ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’ and is due for release in October 2018.
