Scouting For Girls To Reissue Debut Album

-

scoutingforgirls2British pop rock band Scouting For Girls have announced that they will be reissuing their self-titled debut album. The record (which contains the hit song ‘She’s So Lovely) is due to celebrate its tenth anniversary on September 16.

Formed in London in 2005 by friends Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Pete Ellard, Scouting For Girls became one of the most successful bands in the UK after dropping their hugely popular self-titled debut album. The record peaked at number one on the UK albums chart, due to the success of its hit singles,  ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Elvis Ain’t Dead’, ‘It’s Not About You’ and ‘I Wish I Was James Bond’.

Although the record may be fondly remembered by a number of twenty-somethings in the UK, some fans may be unaware of it’s rather bizarre journey. When it was initially released in 2007, the album debuted at number 12. Within a month it had completely dropped out of the Top 40; however, the record experienced a sharp upturn in early 2008, eventually hitting the number four spot. A week later it topped the charts.

The new 2017 reissue will be made available on May 19, and is set to feature 14 additional tracks. Fans will be able to purchase the record on cassette and vinyl for the very first time.

Scouting For Girls have also announced that they will be embarking on a tour of the UK to coincide with the albums release.
