Rob Zombie, the ultimate shock-rocker, will release another scary offering in the form of a new album, The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser in early 2016.
Zombie unleashed the over the top cover art and a video preview of the project, and is set to reveal even more details on January 11th next year.
Zombie is holding off on its release until early spring because he has been in production for his latest horror flick, 31, at the same time.
Zombie told Loudwire in August: “The record is done.”
“We finished it and it’ll probably come out in March because what I want to do is I want to do a very large visual component to go on the record — shoot 13 videos or shoot a movie to go along with it. Because of 31, I couldn’t get to that, so I’m gonna do that in January and put it out soon after that.”
Zombie added: “I kind of got re-inspired on the last record and this really follows up on it.”
“Much like 31, you have those moments in your career where they can’t all be the best one, but sometimes you have those moments where this one is special and that’s how it feels.”
Let’s hope for Rob that this latest effort does as well as his last release. In 2013, Zombie’s Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor debuted at #7 on the Billboard top 200, and gained first-week sales of 34,000.
