Baroque pop artist Kate Bush rose to musical success in the 1980s as the face of the eclectic. Known for her experimental sound, long locks, and erratic stage movements, many a unique pose from the ghostly British beauty has been caught on camera.
This past March, Italian photographer Guido Harari, who served as Kate’s personal photographer for 11 years (from 1982 to 1993), published a book titled The Kate Inside. On September 13 a number of his photographs from the book will be shown at a free exhibit in London at Art Bermondsey Project Space. The exhibit will run until September 30.
The book features over 300 images, including outtakes, contact sheets, test Polaroids, and candid photographs, along with exclusive notes about each captivating picture.
Harari shot the cover images for several of Kate’s best-known musical works, including Hounds of Love, Sensual World, and The Red Shoes, and said of Kate in an interview with Rolling Stone, “She was very beautiful and very sweet… She had a lot of charisma.”
