Queen Songs Have Rocketed Up the Charts

Following the release of the trailer for the upcoming biopic about Queen on May 18th, the preview has seriously bolstered sales and streams of some of the band’s classic songs.

Since the preview of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ Billboard has reported that on its Hot Rock Songs chart, based on streaming, sales and airplay data, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody, the song, has jumped from #10 the previous week to #8, and has seen a 19 and 17% increases in sales and streaming.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, “Another One Bites the Dust” and “We Will Rock You” have both re-entered the Hot Rock Songs chart at #13 and #17.

It’s interesting to note that all three of the songs mentioned in this article were previewed in the the movies trailer.

As if that wasn’t enough, another five Queen songs sit in the top 20 of Billboard‘s Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, with “Bohemian Rhapsody” at #3, “We Will Rock You” at #9, “Another One Bites the Dust” at #12, “We Are the Champions” at #15 even the bands duet with David Bowie, “Under Pressure,” is in the chart at #16.

Queen’s Greatest Hits is at #7 on the Top Rock Albums tally, and moved from #4 to #2 on the Hard Rock Albums list.

Bohemian Rhapsody, the movie, hits theaters in the U.S. on November 2nd.
