Co-founder of post-grunge superstars Creed, Mark Tremonti is known for being a prolific songwriter and an excellent rock guitarist. Tremonti won the award for best guitarist at the Loudwire Music Awards and was hailed as the Riff Lord at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.
During his days with Creed, Tremonti played on three studio albums that eventually went platinum, along with a greatest hits record that also achieved platinum status. Guitarist magazine named his solo on the song Blackbird, written and performed with the band Alter Bridge, the greatest guitar solo of all time.
(If you want to check it out Tremonti’s there’s a really good live version from Wembley below)
Mark began playing a PRS McCarty while touring with Creed after the release of their debut album, My Own Prison. Impressed by the PRS model he collaborated with the company to design and create the Mark Tremonti Signature Model. PRS designed the model to match Tremonti’s style of playing, which is generally aggressive and uses a lot of palm muting.
The Mark Tremonti Signature guitar comes with a tremolo bridge and two volume and two tone controls. It looks amazing in black and stands out as an iconic heavy rock guitar.
(Actually do have one in my collection although it’s in a rather awkward looking platinum)
