It’s the book that all Prince fans have been waiting for. The superstar has just announced he will publish his autobiography next year.
Taking its name from the song on his 1984 album Purple Rain the book has a rumored working title of The Beautiful Ones.
Spanning his musical career and family life, the singer will with his first memory right up to his superb performance at the Super Bowl XLI halftime show in 2007.
The Beautiful Ones will be released in the autumn of 2017, and is set to be published by Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau.
The overview of the singer’s memoir is described as “an unconventional and poetic journey through his life and creative work – from the family that shaped him and the people, places, and ideas that fired his creative imagination, to the stories behind the music that changed the world”.
