Noel Gallagher will be in serious trouble if ventures up the north of England, the Scottish soda company Irn-Bru have said that Gallagher is “cancelled” after the former Oasis star called Scotland a “third world country”.
It seems that Noel is constantly fighting with someone and now it’s Scotland! Gallagher made the remark during his ongoing war of words with singer Lewis Capaldi, in which he compared the Glasgow singer to the Star Wars character Chewbacca.
Noel explained to the magazine Variety what he thought of Capaldi: “Fucking Chewbacca should enjoy his 15 minutes. The greatest day of his life that I slagged him off or called him an idiot. It’s the greatest day of his f—ing life so far. He’s just thinking, ‘Wow!’ Well, I know you’re Scottish and all that, but f—ing hell! It is like a third world country, but for fuck’s sake, man, you must have had a better day than this. Surely!”
This totally set off Scottish drinks company Irn-Bru, and they responded on Twitter with the following: “Noel Gallagher is cancelled.”

The tweet has been retweeted 1.3k since it was uploaded and even saw Irn-Bru cheekily getting in a plug for their brand by offering a link to Liam Gallagher’s soundcloud.
The pair have yet to meet in person, but Capaldi admitted: “I’d love to see him and give him a big hug and a big kiss. I’m sure he’d love it!
“I’m gonna see if I can get side of stage, and I’m gonna shout ‘Noooeell!’, and I’m gonna wave at him. He’s gonna love it!”
Ding ding, end of round one.
