Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be busy this coming summer. As well as playing at least three of the scheduled Lollapalooza festivals, the band has now been added as one of the headline acts to the bill at the Lytham Festival this summer.
The Lytham Festival takes place on the Flyde Coast from August 1-7, and the former Oasis man and his band will play the Festival Arena on Lytham Green on Thursday, August 4th.
Tickets for the festival go on sale at 9am this Friday, March 4th. This marks the first time Gallagher has played on the British coast since Oasis rocked Blackpool in October 1995.
Lytham Festival’s director, Peter Taylor, went on to say: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are to headline the Thursday night at Lytham Festival 2016.”
“Noel is without question a British music legend and cultural icon who has written some of the biggest and best anthems of the last 30 years,” he continued.
In the past, Gallagher gave his recipe for successful festival show appearances, saying: “Just get up there and give it 75%! One always has to save some for the after show you see!”
