It’s festival season and news just released tells us that folk rock veteran Neil Young plus fellow Farm Aid founder Willie Nelson will be the headliners at the inaugural Outlaw Music Festival taking place September 18th—just one day after Farm Aid 2016—and being held at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Keeping it in the family, Neil Young will be hitting the stage with his backing band Promise of the Real, which is led by Willie Nelson’s son Lukas.
The Outlaw Music Festival’s lineup is impressive to say the least including: Sheryl Crow; ex-Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson’s band Chris Robinson Brotherhood; and country stars Lee Ann Womack and Brothers Osborne. Additional performers will be announced in the very near future.
Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public today, July 29th, at 10 a.m. ET at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets and the Montage Mountain box office by calling 800-745-3000.
The Festival offers plenty of other activities in addition to the live performances including local cuisine, beer, and crafts from local artisans.
This year’s Farm Aid lineup is no less impressive and will be held at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. The festival will feature onstage performances by Young, Nelson, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Promise of the Real, and Alabama Shakes to name but a few.
As with The Outlaw Music Festival, there will be additional acts added to the bill in the coming weeks.
