Legendary UK band Mott The Hoople have announced they will be embarking on a UK tour next year.
They will kick off the short run of six shows in Manchester on April 19th at the Academy and will close the curtain with a two night stand at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on the 26th and 27th of the same month.
The tour will also take in Glasgow, Birmingham and Gateshead on the run. The tour itself is based on the celebration of their 1974 albums The Hoople and Live.
It was earlier on this year that the band headlined the Ramblin’ Man Fair with the trio of Ian Hunter, Ariel Bender and Morgan Fisher. Due to his ongoing ill health, Mick Ralphs didn’t appear, but gave his blessing to replacement guitarists, James Mastro and Mark Bosch, and they were joined by keyboardist Dennis Dibrizzi, bassist Paul Page and drummer Steve Holley.
The UK won’t be the only dates the band will play, Hoople have said that they will be announcing further dates across North America in the near future.
Tickets for the UK run are on sale now.
