In a story we covered earlier this week, Lamb of God’s Mark Morton released a track with Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington’s voice on it. For fans of the band, it was an opportunity to hear the late singers voice again.
The track was actually recorded a few years prior to his death but now gets to see daylight with the release of Mark Morton’s solo album called Aesthetic.
Fans of Bennington and Morton have praised the track, and one massive endorsement is that of Bennington’s Linkin Park band-mate Mike Shinoda. He recalls the time he first heard the collaboration.
Shinoda said on social media: “I remember when Chester played this song for me in his car, almost finished. He was really happy with it. Good stuff, Mark.”In addition to Bennington and Morton’s to the composition, the track also features Trivium’s rhythm section of Paolo Gregoletto and Alex Bent.
Morton’s new album will also feature Jacoby Shaddix, Myles Kennedy, Chuck Billy, Josh Todd, Alissa White-Gluz, and Randy Blythe, and is due to drop March 1stof this year.
