There’s only so much binge-watching you can do right? Here at Rock My World, we’ve been helping our readers with regular doses of full rock concerts during the last week or so. Now joining us and a growing number of bands, Metallica has just announced a new weekly concert series to help beat the madness that could set in due to self-isolation guidelines.
Metallica said via social media: “Need to take a break from Netflix before you binge-watch the entire library?” adding: “Introducing our brand new concert series: #MetallicaMondays, debuting tonight on our YouTube channel and on Facebook!”
Opening up the series is their Slane Castle gig, and yes, it kicks ass. ‘Sad But True’, ‘Master Of Puppets’ and ‘One’, are included in their 18-song setlist as well as ‘Spit Out The Bone’ and ‘Moth Into Flame.’
Metallica has also posted a message on the band’s website entitled ‘Update from the bunker.’ It’s a post telling fans about what they’re all doing right now, as well as plans for their future gigs.
The wrote in part: “Here’s to looking back on this period soon with a renewed appreciation for all the amazing times together with our extended Metallica Family around the world,” adding: “For now, go hang with your significant others, kids, pets, parents… whomever you have in your space. Create your playlists, watch some movies, try some old-fashioned board games, and most importantly, stay safe. We’ll keep in touch!”
