Acclaimed music producer Mark Ronson has given some insight into the upcoming Lady Gaga album. Ronson, who has been working on new material with the pop star has described the record as ‘incredible’.
Mark Ronson is no stranger to working with the very best artists in modern pop music. His soul / funk stylings have proved hugely popular over the last decade and when he puts his name to something you can almost guarantee it will be a hit. In recent years, Ronson has worked on a number of highly successful albums including Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’, Lily Allen’s ‘Alright, Still’ and Bruno Mars’ ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’. He has also gained success through his own musical releases such as his 2007 covers album ‘Version’ and massive 2014 hit ‘Uptown Funk’.
His latest project has been working with Lady Gaga on the follow up to her 2013 album ‘Art Pop’. Ronson recently told BBC Radio 1: “We’ve been working on this record for a while.” He continued: “It’s very rare you’re working on something and you go to bed at 3am in the morning and you wake up at 8am and you just cannot wait to get back to the studio to work on that thing you want to work on.”
In another interview Ronson proved a little unwilling to divulge any further details about the new record stating: “I can’t really get into it too much – I’m not trying to be coy, but I feel like it’s not my place. When the time’s right to tell the story, I feel like she should tell.
He did however have this to say: “it’s some of my favourite music I’ve really ever worked on. It’s incredible – I love it.”
The name and release date of the album are yet to be confirmed but there is already a huge amount of hype surrounding the record.
