It’s been a while since Oasis played stadiums and world tours, but once a performer always a performer! Former Oasis front-man Liam Gallagher joined locals in JJ Finan’s pub in Charlestown Ireland for a drink or two and couldn’t resist picking up a guitar and belting out a tune.
This could have been one of his most intimate gigs ever when he began playing at JJ Finan’s pub in Charlestown, Ireland.
Seriously, what are the chances that you’re sat in your local tavern and a rock n roll megastar walks in for a pint? Pretty slim I’d say, but then, for that same star to start singing and playing new and unreleased songs, unheard of!
Gallagher, whose mother hails from the rural town, had jaws dropping and everyone bopping as he strummed away.
Of course, the song Liam played wasn’t without his usual swagger and occasional dig at his brother Noel’s latest album: Chasing Yesterday.
The untitled tracks lyrics included: “When I wake up and I hear you say. “There’s no love worth chasing yesterday”.
By the looks of the video it seems the locals were totally into Liam’s impromptu performance and one fan even tried to join in with some impromtu drums. At one point during the song one regular egged on Liam , shouting: “Go on, Gallagher!”
It seems to us here at Rock My World that the ex Oasis man is just as happy in a tiny pub as he is in huge stadiums.
