Electronic rock band LCD Soundsystem have announced that they will be releasing a brand new record titled ‘American Dream’. The record is set to be the group’s fourth studio album, and follows 2010’s ‘This Is Happening’.
Following their reformation in 2015, the James Murphy led electro outfit have continued to tease fans with promises of new material. In 2016, the band cancelled tour dates in Asia and Australia in order to complete work on a mysterious upcoming record. They have since debuted a number of new songs during performances at the newly opened Brooklyn Steel venue in New York, and their May 6 appearance on Saturday Night Live.
LCD’s most recent album ‘This Is Happening’ peaked at number ten on the Billboard 200, and was supported by the popular singles ‘Pow Pow’, ‘Drunk Girls’, ‘I Can Change’, and ‘Throw’.
The band have now revealed that they will be releasing their new record ‘American Dream’ on September 1. The album has so far been supported by two tracks titled ‘Call The Police’ and ‘American Dream’.
