KISS Announce European Tour For 2017

paulstanley1KISS are set to play a series of shows all over Europe next year. The glam-rockers will begin the European leg of their huge KISSWORLD 2017 tour with a gig in Moscow on May 1, and conclude with a special show at London’s 02 Arena on May 31.

KISS are one of the biggest rock bands on the planet and have become well known for having some of the most memorable live shows in rock n roll history. The New York four piece are notorious for their elaborate stage set-ups, bizarre supports acts and legendary pyrotechnics.

In a recent interview, bassist Gene Simmons shared his thoughts on the importance of making live performances as magical as possible, stating: “At the end of the day, all that matters is what happens on that stage – that’s electric church. That’s glory hallelujah, all hail rock’n’roll, where people who spend lots of after-tax money come to the show and their girlfriends have been torturing them about where did you go and traffic jams and all that.

“And it’s our job – anyone who gets up on that stage – to create magic time. To make you forget about all that stuff and take you away, so just for those few hours…and then you get back to gravity, and all the chaos that’s out there.”

KISS released their last album ‘Monster’ in 2012. The album peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and was supported by the singles ‘Hell or Hallelujah’ and ‘Long Way Down’.

News of the upcoming tour has led to speculation as to whether the band will be releasing a new record in the near future. Earlier in the year, frontman Paul Stanley teased fans about a potential follow up to ‘Monster’, stating: “We’re toying – certainly I’m toying – with the idea of doing another album. I think it will happen.”

“The only thing I’m adamant about is that it’s not son of Sonic Boom or son of Monster, or son of any other album. It has to be something fresh, because, initially, the people we’re doing it for are us.”
