“Ruby” rockers the Kaiser Chiefs are the latest band to release tour dates as part of Forest Live where acts will perform in spectacular woodland settings around the UK as part of the summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission.
Hailing from the North of England, the Kaiser Chiefs formed in Leeds in 2000.
The band has since produced some killer albums: Employment, Yours Truly, Angry Mob and Off With Their Heads. Since the band’s formation, the guys have truly established themselves as one of the most successful bands of their generation.
With a succession of anthemic hits behind them including “I Predict A Riot”, “Oh My God”, “Everyday I Love You Less And Less”, and “Ruby”, the band has gone on to headline festivals and sell-out tours.
The band is busy working away on a follow up to 2014’s No 1 album Education, Education, Education & War. Frontman Ricky Wilson is currently doing his coaching duties in the BBC series The Voice.
Income generated from the Forestry Commission gigs’ ticket sales will be spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife.
Now in it’s 15th year, Forest Lives has contributed to a wide range of projects including wildlife conservation and making general improvements for visitors.
Forest gigs are known as a great night out. The gigs are catered just like indoor concerts including a full catered bar and all regular facilities. Oh, and you won’t get a better atmosphere, that’s for sure!
Singer Ricky Wilson said, “As a band we’ve always loved to play outdoors, we’ve done fields, parks, farms, rooftops, beaches and back gardens, but this will be the first time we’ve played in a forest. If you go down to the woods this Summer, you’re sure of a big surprise. We’re really looking forward to being part of Forest Live.”
