Jimmy Eat World To Release New Album

Jimmy Eat World is back and fans of the band couldn’t be happier. It’s been 3 years since the release of 2016’s Integrity Blues and the band have only released a few singles and acoustics remakes since then.

But the wait is over now we have an official announcement from the band’s drummer Zach Lind. Via Twitter, he said: “Album mixed & mastered holy shit.”

It was in 1999 following the release of their album Clarity that we thought we’d heard the last of the band. Looking back on that time the band celebrated the album’s 20-year anniversary, as well as reflecting on the emotional journey behind it all.

The post on Instagram said: “When we made Clarity over 20 years ago, our head space as a band was a mixture of defeat and mischief. “

“After the total commercial failure of Static Prevails we knew that we were lucky to be given another chance by Capitol Records at making another album but we also knew that it would very likely be our last. It was like a last meal on death row. We loaded up our plate with string sections, timpanis, mallet instruments, and drum machines.”

The band kicks off a summer tour with Third Eye Blind this summer, with the band Ra Ra Riot on as support.
