First came the news of the split between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and now the public comes to find the unfortunate telling that yet another Hollywood couple is calling it quits.
After 11 years, actor Liev Schreiber (The Omen) and actress Naomi Watts (The Ring) announced their separation in a statement to E! News Monday morning.
“Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.”
The couple stars together in the biographical sports film The Bleeder directed by Philippe Falardeau, which premiered at the 2016 Venice Film Festival on September 2nd.
