Greta Van Fleet get a Serious Boost in Sales after SNL

Their appearance on Saturday Night Live has done Greta Van Fleet’s debut album a world of good. “Anthem of The Peaceful Army“, has made some serious headway on the US charts following their January 19th performance.

Billboard says that the album rocketed from 150 to a very healthy #76 slot on the Billboard 200 with a sales increase of 45 percent to 10,000 units.

Also, an earlier release by the band 2017’s EP, “From The Fires“, has gotten a lot of attention, so much so that it has re-entered the Billboard chart at No. 121. This came after it sold another 8,000 copies, giving the EP an 87 percent increase in sales.

Saturday Night Live can make or break you, you’ve only got to remember Ashley Simpson’s disastrous performance where she was outed for miming. Greta Van Fleet, on the other hand, turned their performance into a potential goldmine. The appearance also provided the band a major increase in sales of their digital download catalog, which was boosted by 209 percent to 11,000 downloads sold.
