This fall’s highly anticipated mystery film The Girl On The Train finally lands in theaters this coming Friday, October 7.
Starring The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily Blunt and The Magnificent Seven actress Hayley Bennett, the film was directed by Tate Taylor (Winter’s Bone) with a screenplay written by Erin Cressida Wilson (Vinyl) and it is based off of the 2015 psychological thriller novel of the same name.
The novel was written by British author Paula Hawkins and came in at number one on The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2015 for 16 weeks, and currently lands on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list.
Telling the story of the divorced Rachel Watson (played by Blunt) who witnesses a horrifying event from a passenger commuter train, the critically acclaimed feature film goes on to pose the question as to whether or not Rachel could be a witness or a suspect.
The Girl On The Train is rated R and has a running time of 112 minutes.
