Fleetwood Mac Wow the Isle of Wight

Rock legends Fleetwood Mac closed the Isle of Wight Festival with an unbelievable performance last night.

Over 50,000 people have soaked up amazing music acts across a dozen stages during the past four days at the Festival including The Black Keys, The Prodigy, Pharrell Williams and 90’s darlings Blur all playing the main stage which was headlined last night by the blues and 80s superstars.

Fans were last week left hanging on the edge of their seats as doubt had lingered over whether the performance would even go ahead after they cancelled gigs in Birmingham and Manchester earlier this week.[image type=”rounded” float=”left” src=”https:rockmyworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Fleetwood-Mac-1-008.jpg” alt=”Fleetwood Mac”]

Oasis rivals Blur, also battled through illness to perform at the festival after Damon Albarn confessed he had lost his voice earlier last week.

He struggled with a weakened voice during the band’s headline set

and told the crowd: “I truly didn’t think I would make it here tonight but thank you.”

Fleetwood Mac came straight out of the gates with The Chain, known by many as the Formula 1 theme, to the delight of the crowds who reportedly included F1 driver David Coulthard as well as Spice girl’s Gerri Halliwell’s newly-wed husband Christian Horner who is the boss of the Red Bull racing team.

The festival is now in its 14th year since it re-launched the legendary gigs of the late 1960s when acts like Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan and the late, great Jimi Hendrix took to the stage.
