Evanescence And Stevie Nicks Donate Items To Girls ‘Rock Auction’


In a real show of girl power, Evanescence, Billie Eilish, Joan Jett, and lots more female artists have donated articles that include instruments and signed memorabilia to be part of the Girls Rock Reverb Gives auction.

Set to last a week, the auction kicks off on May 21st via the Girls Rock Reverb site.

The proceeds of the event will benefit 10 nonprofit organizations which focus on empowering female, transgender, and gender nonconforming youth by using music.

The list of artists participating is a big one, others included in the sale are: Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton Ani DiFranco, Patti Smith, Stevie Nicks, Kelly Clarkson, Elle King Phoebe, Reba McEntire, CHVRCHES, Regina Spektor, Fergie, Charli XCX, Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Loretta Lynn, Annie Lennox, Indigo Girls, Lita Ford, Kimbra, Little Big Town, The B-52s, and many more.

Besides the above list, record companies and other organizations have generously donated items to the upcoming auction.

Some of the stand-out items for auction include Billie Eilish’s signed Fender ukulele and an Epiphone amplifier owned by Tegan and Sara. Stevie Nicks will have an autographed Sennheiser microphone up for sale.

As for the list of organizations that will benefit from the sale, they include: Bay Area Girls Rock Camp, Girls Rock Columbia, Girls Rock Philly, Ohama Girls Rock, Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Salt Lake City, ATEM (Arts Transform Empower Music) in Berlin, Girls Rock Dublin, Girls Rock London, Sweden’s Popkollo and Femix in Belgrade, Serbia.

A similar auction held last year, by the same initiative raised more than $20,000 for the Girls Rock Camp Alliance.
