Elbow Announce New Album and UK Tour

-

elbow1UK indie band Elbow are set to release a new record at the beginning of 2017. The new album will follow up 2014’s ‘The Take Off And Landing Of Everything’ and will be the band’s first release as a four piece, after the departure of their drummer Richard Jupp earlier in 2016.

Elbow have become one of the most highly praised bands in the UK since releasing their debut album ‘Asleep in the Back’ in 2001. They became a household name after winning the prestigious Mercury Music Prize in 2008, for their fourth studio album ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’.

The band took a short hiatus recently, when singer Guy Garvey decided to tour his solo record ‘Courting The Squall’. The band are said to have reconvened in January to start recording sessions for the new album. A series of instagram posts have now appeared on Elbow’s profile, showing segments from the recording sessions.
