Def Leppard to Launch a Pale Ale

Booze and bands, the perfect mix. That being said, Rockers, Def Leppard, have come together with Seattle’s Elysian Brewing Company to launch a brand new beer.

It’s a beer with a kick, 6% to be exact. The beer is called Def Leppard Pale and it set to be available from May 23rd, two days after Leppard start their North American tour with Journey.

So, what does it taste like? Def Leppard’s vocalist Joe Elliott told Billboard: “It tastes great – that’s the most important thing I can tell you. I would pass on doing an interview about this if I didn’t like it. That to me is the most important thing.” Adding: “If it takes off and people like it, it can be around. Iron Maiden has a beer named Trooper and they’ve done really well with theirs. “We have to see if we can match that. It’s been around five years or so by now, so there’s a long way to go to keep up with them.”

On completion of the bands North American tour, Leppard will return to the UK and Ireland in December, so, if you want to check the band out before the head home, you can get all the details here.
