Dave Grohl gives a Sneak Peak of his Solo Project ‘Play’

We all know that Dave Grohl is a multi-instrumentalist, and in a new video that he has uploaded on to social media proves the point.

The ex- Nirvana drummer and current singer guitarist for the Foo Fighters has shared a preview of his soon to be released solo project Play.

The clip is 55 seconds long and totally shows the versatility of Grohl. One by one, he picks up instrument after instrument and plays them as he builds the track which in its full form is 23-minutes long.

The clip shows Grohl sat in a dark, round room, he moves from drums to guitars and starts to build the track until at the end of the trailer, we hear what we assume will be the song’s main guitar riff.

As well as the music, Play will be a two-part documentary that goes into detail about Grohl’sinspiration for writing and recording the track. He also goes into detail aboutsomething that is close to his heart, the importance of children’s music education.

Not one to sit idle, Grohl has just wrapped up the latest Foo Fighters tour for their recently released album Concrete and Gold, and the band hit the road again in September.

Check out the video below. Play will be released in its entirety on August 10th.
