The Darkness Release Track From New Live Album

Need more Darkness in your life? Well the boys have just released a live audio stream of the track ‘Solid Gold’ from their album Pinewood Smile.

The recording has been taken from the bands soon to be released live album Live At Hammersmith. The album drops on June 15th via Cooking Vinyl, and was recorded in a run of shows last December during the bands Tour de Prance tour.

The Darkness’ lead singer and guitar player Justin Hawkins, said of the new album:  “The Darkness is untamed. It cannot be caged. Some very clever recording engineers have discovered a way to capture its essence – all that remains is for us to release it back into the wild.

“Life is about experiences, not possessions. This is your opportunity to possess the experience of The Darkness live, as perceived by your ears, leaving your eyes free to scan the road ahead for obstacles, or to watch Emmerdale with the sound off, or to mould clay, or to darn socks, or to look at the beautiful artwork in this magnificent gatefold.

“Release yourself into The Darkness – Live at Hammersmith.”

You’ll be able to get the album in the following formats, CD, gatefold double vinyl and cassette, as well as digital platforms.

The Darkness will be the main support to the Hollywood Vampires during their UK run.  They will also open up for Queen in Glasgow and Dublin.
