British EDM producer Calvin Harris has teased fans with a snapchat clip featuring a brand new song. The 20 second video previews a track that includes vocals from RnB artist Frank Ocean; sparking rumours that the pair are currently collaborating on new material.
Calvin Harris has been a huge figure in the music industry for the best part of a decade. Despite being an established artist in his own right; Harris’ greatest gift seems to be his ability to select collaborators. Be it Ellie Goulding, Florence Welch, John Newman or Rihanna; team up with Calvin Harris and you’re guaranteed a hit.
Harris has dropped a number of hints over the last few weeks pointing towards his latest musical partner. Last week he tweeted: “More joyful music” coming in 2017, it’s missing from the world. And it was missing from my life. So I created it!”
Adding: “I worked with the greatest artists of our generation !!! I’m in the mixing stage now. I listen back and can’t believe what we created… In 2017 I’m making music to make your soul happy !!!! Not feel good music. Feel INCREDIBLE music”.
It now appears that the artist Harris was referring to was none other than Frank Ocean. There are also rumours that Migos’ Offset may feature on a new track with the duo. Harris and Ocean were previously pictured together entering a recording studio last summer; however, there have been no official announcements regarding the pair working on new material.
It is not yet known whether the song will be a stand alone track or part of Harris’ next album. Harris last studio release was 2014’s ‘Motion’. The record topped the dance charts in both the UK and US and was supported by the hit singles ‘Under Control’, ‘Summer’, ‘Outside’ and ‘Pray To God’.
