Springsteen and the boys will embark on a nine-week run of shows to promote the box set. The tour kicks off on January 16th in Pittsburgh, PA and ends with two dates in Los Angeles in mid-March.

The box set called, The Ties That Bind: The River Collection includes the original record alongside The River: Single Album – originally named The Ties That Bind – a 10-track album that Springsteen recorded in 1979 as a follow up to 1978’s Darkness On The Edge Of Town, but never released.

The comprehensive 4CD/3DVD package will also include 22 outtakes from the recording studio sessions as well as an hour-long documentary/interview with Bruce, plus, a 1980 concert of the band that was filmed at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

The River was a landmark album for Springsteen, and earned him his first No. 1 US album on the Billboard 100.
