Rockers Blink-182 have been teasing fans for a while now about the band releasing new music in the very`near future.
The band’s bass player/singer, Mark Hoppus, has taken to Twitter and Instagram during the past few months to keep fans in the loop about new music. His latest update shows drummer Travis Barker thrashing away on a spanking new track from the band.
Hoppus uploaded a video on Instagram of Barker playing a song that Hoppus said the band had created on Tuesday.
The video only shows Barker on the drums and no other music can be heard in the clip. Hoppus also uploaded a shot of himself playing bass.
Hoppus also recently shared a photo on Twitter of himself with Barker, the band’s new guitarist Matt Skiba and producer John Feldmann. The picture, seen below, says, “In the studio for 14 hours today and drank so much coffee I’ll never sleep again.”
As fans eagerly await the band’s new album, drummer Barker told California radio station KROQ in January that it’s likely the album will drop this summer. “There’s tentatively some plans to play shows during summer. Everything will come together and be revealed in due time. It’s gonna be great,” said Barker.
