Bad Company is currently touring the US with ex-Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson standing in for founding member Mick Ralphs. Bad Company fans rejoice, however, as news has arrived that
Ralphs will be rejoining the band’s UK tour that will take place in autumn.
Called The Swan Song tour, the trek will see the band visit eight cities in the UK. Kicking off the tour with a date on October 15th in Leeds, the tour culminates with an October 29th concert at the O2 arena in London.
Singer Paul Rodgers said: “Returning to the U.K. with Bad Company where it all began 40 plus years ago is full circle for the band and the fans.” Paul who now lives in Canada added: “It’s always a pleasure to play in the U.K.”
As for returning member Mick Ralphs he said: “So looking forward to be playing in the UK for all our great fans — gonna be great!”
The news of Bad Company’s UK tour also got a nod from Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant who said in a statement, “With mean riffs that took no prisoners, smoldering grooves and THE voice of all British voices, these guys brought home a special unique angle to the scene. I’m excited to see them make their way back on the road, town to town.”
As well as Bad Company, the band has included some special guests for the Swan Song Tour. This will include RSO, the new duo formed by ex-Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and his girlfriend, Australian guitar master, Orianthi. Also, opening the shows will be either Rodgers’ son Steve or his daughter Jasmine.
