One of the questions being asked about the newly reformed Tool is, will the band be playing any new tunes on their upcoming tour? Well, if we believe the hints being dropped by Maynard James Keenan it’s starting to look that way.
Yesterday frontman Keenan sent out a tweet of him and his bandmates with thought bubbles coming out of each of their heads. Here’s the hint. Keenan’s bubble reads, “Feelin cute. Might play some new material on this upcoming tour. Idk.”
Also in the photo is the Tool logo as well as the Roman numeral MMXIX, which translates to 2019.

As if that hint wasn’t big enough, guitarist Adam Jones wrote on Instagram that he’s “Getting ready for Sunday,” which co-insides with Tool kicking off their US tour at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Jacksonville, Florida. Jones also added a number of hashtags that included: #MakingDreamsComeTrue and #TheFastingIsOver, possibly suggesting the long wait for new Tool might finally be coming to an end.
This will be the first Tool album released since 2006’s 10,000 Days.
