This is a true love story. Shock Rock king Alice Cooper has explained that he has made a death pact with his wife of 43 years, Sheryl Goddard, saying: “We are going to go together.”
Alice told the UK’s Mirror newspaper that: “We’ve made a pact – there is no way of surviving without each other,” He also insisted that he has “never cheated” on his wife since the two got together in 1975.
Cooper explained that their devotion is so strong they are absolutely sticking to the “till death do us part” part of their marriage vows.
He told The Mirror. “I couldn’t live without her. We always said there will never be a time when one of us will be mourning the other,” adding: “Whenever it does happen, we are going to go together.”
Showing his love and devotion for Goddard, 61, Cooper also added that she was: “the greatest girl in the world,” and said, “You would think people would want to get away from the wives but she is my best friend. And there is no way of surviving without each other.”
For fans used to his shock rock side is normal, but Cooper has a normal life also, he admitted that he regularly babysat for his twin grandsons. He said: “They see Alice Cooper the character and they know it’s the character I play,” he told the paper. “They say, ‘You play a monster, but you are not really a monster, Grandad’.”
