08Guns N’ Roses’ Not in This Lifetime tour just gets better and better. On Wednesday night, frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan took to the stage again as they carry on playing the
band’s first tour in 23 years.
But, this gig in Cincinnati was even better then the other shows to date. The fourth member from the band’s classic lineup joined the reunited trio on stage.
Original drummer Steven Adler joined GNR towards the end of the main set, he sat behind the drums and played “Out Ta Get Me” and “My Michelle”.
This marked Adler’s first time joining his former band mates on stage in 26 years.
Adler joined Guns N’ Roses back in 1985 and remained an integral member of the band giving the band the backbone for its unmistakable rhythm section for the recording of the band’s classic album Appetite For Destruction.
Adler was eventually fired from the band in 1990 due to his severe drug and alcohol abuse; Matt Sorum replaced him.
Now with the addition of Adler appearing with the band in Cincinnati, this just leaves guitarist Izzy Stradlin as the only member of GNR’s classic lineup yet to take part in the band’s reunion.
