Ace Frehley to Release New Album: ‘Spaceman’

Ex KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has announced the release of new album for later this year.

The album is called Spaceman and will drop October 19th through Entertainment One.

As well as the guitar duties on the album, Frehley also plays bass on all but two of the tracks on the record. The remaining two are handled by his former band-mate Gene Simmons. You can hear Gene on Your Wish Is My Command and Without You I’m Nothing, which was also co-written by Simmons.

Frehley told DJ Eddie Trunk about his collaboration with Simmons: “I just shot him an email and said, ‘C’mon, let’s write some songs together for my new record.’

“Next thing you know, he’s down here and within three hours we had written two songs together, which was a record for me and him.”

Adding: “We had a fantastic time. He came down. We ate in the backyard while I was watering my palm trees. He was going to my fiancée Rachel, ‘This is something new I’ve never seen before.’”

To go along with the new albums announcement, Frehley uploaded a stream of his new single Rockin’ With The Boys. The track documents his life on the road and was written while Ace was a member of Kiss back in the 70s.
