It was first leaked via a rumor last week, and now the official lineup for next year’s 2017 Northern Invasion Festival has been announced. For all you rockers out there needing an infusion of ‘90s style rock, you’re in luck—the two main headlining spots include Seattle’s Soundgarden and Kid Rock.
The Northern Invasion Festival will take place on May 13th and 14th at the Somerset Amphitheater in Somerset, Wisconsin. This will be the third year for the event.
You can gorge yourself on a smorgasbord of ‘90s rock with sets from bands like: Godsmack, The Offspring, Bush, Papa Roach, Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, Amon Amarth, Opeth, In Flames, Gojira, Pierce the Veil, Sum 41, The Dillinger Escape Plan and more bands are still being added as we go to print (Dec 14th 2016).
Godsmack’s lead singer, Sully Erna said: “Looking forward to bringing the Smack to Northern Invasion. It’ll be awesome to share the stage with so many great artists.”
Bush lead singer, Gavin Rossdale added: “We are so excited to come play the Northern Invasion. So many killer bands I want to see … starting with Soundgarden. We plan on bringing the fire.”
