Rihanna Hits 30 ‘Top 10’ Singles

rihanna4Pop singer Rihanna has obtained her 30th Top 10 single on the US Billboard chart. The new milestone means that Rhi Rhi has now overtaken pop legend Michael Jackson and stands only eight behind The Beatles and Madonna.

Last week Rihanna scored another Top 10 record when her new single ‘Love on the Brain’ debuted at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was co-written by Rihanna, Fred Ball, Joseph Angel and Kuk Harrell and features on her eighth studio album ‘Anti’. It is estimated to have already sold over 1 million copies in the US – making it Rihanna’s 44th platinum selling single.

To put Rihanna’s achievement into context; Michael Jackson only managed to obtain 29 Top 10 singles before his passing in 2009 and Madonna took 13 years to accumulate the same amount. Rihanna has managed this incredible feat in just 10 years, seven months and two weeks. The only artists with a more impressive record are The Beatles – who obtained 30 Top 10’s in just five years.
