What would television be without its catchy advertising schemes? Otherwise known as commercials (you guessed it), it’s safe to say that burger empire McDonald’s has one of the catchiest jingles in commercial history.
With three little words, “I’m Lovin’ It”, we are comforted by the thought of a happy meal and an order of large fries.
Recorded by Justin Timberlake in 2003, for which he received an estimated 6 million dollars, it has just come to media’s attention that, in fact, hip-hop artist Pusha T actually came up with the famous jingle. According to Steve Stoute, CEO of the “I’m Lovin’ It” marketing campaign, Timberlake had little to do with the brains behind the catch phrase.
In a recent interview with US radio station Hot 97, Stoute said, “You know who did that? Pusha T. That’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald’s!”
A representative for Pusha T has confirmed to Rolling Stone that the hip-hop artist did write the jingle.
