DreamWorks Brings Us ‘The Light Between Oceans’ In September

Novelist M.L. Stedman’s 2012 New York Times Best Selling novel The Light Between Oceans comes to theaters September 2, 2016 by the cinematic graces of DreamWorks.light sq

Rated PG-13, the 132-minute romantic drama was directed by Derek Cianfrance, who is also responsible for directing the heart-wrenching crime thriller The Place Beyond The Pines in 2012.

Starring Michael Fassbender as Tom Sherbourne, Alicia Vikander as Isabel Graysmark, and Rachel Weisz as Hannah Roennfeldt, The Light Between Oceans tells the somber tale of a lonely man who finds tranquility as a lighthouse keeper on an island off the coast of Western Australia.

Eventually finding companionship in marriage, there are several unexpected events that change the course of his life: a death, an orphan child, and a special visitor who has the power to pull at his heartstrings in unknown attempt at exposing the truth behind a major secret.

The Light Between Oceans is considered one of the best films of the year.
