Bruce Springsteen To Hit The Road In 2016

He’s known for giving his all, every single night, of every single tour. So, in great news for fans, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

announced a 2016 North American tour in support of the band’s newly-issued 7-disc box set, which will be released to mark the 35th anniversary of the 1980 double-album.bruce sq

Springsteen and the boys will embark on a nine-week run of shows to promote the box set. The tour kicks off on January 16th in Pittsburgh, PA and ends with two dates in Los Angeles in mid-March.

In a fantastic move by the band and Bruce, each night of the tour will be recorded, mixed and mastered for release on Live.BruceSpringsteen.net as high-quality downloads and CDs. Each gig will be available to purchase within days of its performance.

The box set called, The Ties That Bind: The River Collection includes the original record alongside The River: Single Album – originally named The Ties That Bind – a 10-track album that Springsteen recorded in 1979 as a follow up to 1978’s Darkness On The Edge Of Town, but never released.

The comprehensive 4CD/3DVD package will also include 22 outtakes from the recording studio sessions as well as an hour-long documentary/interview with Bruce, plus, a 1980 concert of the band that was filmed at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

The River was a landmark album for Springsteen, and earned him his first No. 1 US album on the Billboard 100.
